No screen, but sound playing

When I open the game all I get is the outline of the game as it starts out of full screen mode, and there is nothing in the middle, when I go to move the game my desktop behind it moves as well so it isn't invisible but it has just frozen to the picture that was behind it. The wierd thing is the game is running and I can hear the music, my mouse disappeares but I can hear myself scrolling over the buttons. Any help?

If it's any help, lots of my other games aren't working as well and they usually say: Could not complete Core Dump, minidumps are not enabled on this client version of windows.l

Only 3 games work, they are: Garry's Mod, Unturned and The Sims 3
