That is vaguely the kind of experience this mod gives. The start is tough because enemies don't scale and you are weak.

Static Enemy Ships
Certain races are more powerful than others. You will run into weak and strong ships. Learn when to fight, when to run, and when to take a bribe.

Well, never said it was easy, I overreacted a bit. Still he exaggerated its difficulty. Yes it's very difficult but not so much that its impossible.

Go back to this post for the AE version.

You won't encounter any Lanius ships, but you should be able to find Lanius crew and see them on pirate ships, if you have AE content enabled. You can even choose a Lanius as an additional crew member at the start of the game.

You cannot unlock any ships with this mod.

Can you release the weapons in this pack , but without the infinite game? I want to use them on my ship, but I also dont want Infinite Space on my next playthrough...

Is there any way to get new ships at all? I lost my game data somehow and I cant stand fighting that flagship anymore. Will there be a path in the future to allow you to get new ships with this mod? Or is there some other method?

You can use the Profile Editor to restore your lost profile.

Luckily, I already have most of this done for an unfinished add-on for my FTL: Extended mod.

If you don't mind, I believe I got a mostly working one that I can give you / upload. Just deleted anything related to ships :mrgreen:
Might not have internet for a few days though.
I'll just PM you the .ftl file right now. ;)

PS: I am not good at modding FTL :lol: I probably could, but there are 2 problems.

1) I'm lazy :roll:
2) I can't make any sprites except for using solid colors (no shading, I suck at that :D ), and even then I just change the colors of an existing file :mrgreen:

But what I AM good at is taking other people's stuff and removing features so that things are standalone.

Also I make ships, but everyone does that :lol:

Just a summary on how stable my edits are:
I have encountered ZERO problems thus far. I even have Captain's Edition Infinite installed, along with EL and all that nice stuff :D

Anyway, I hope I spared you some time :mrgreen:
