Well there are some things to improve:
1. All tracks have to loop seamlessly (check out the Title theme in the pack)
2. Current track starts off with some really cool idea (from 0:10 to 0:18) but then it just stops,
If he can make that piece into a whole track - I think it would work great.
3. So the current track should start at 0:20
4. As you've suggested the volume of tracks should be more or less on the same level throughout the whole length.
5. All tracks should come in pairs - explore, battle. Like in FTL.
Basically Battle is the same as Explore but has some badass beats added to it(or something like this).
6. Also the tracks should be a bit longer.

If your friend can do these changes, then it would be just great.

Latest update:

1. Managed to get the path-finding algorithm working(Thanks Jrb for the example)
2. Made the first NPC_AI - Repair man :D
This mob runs around the ship fixing all damaged systems.
3. But when it comes to fires he's still dumb.
4. Also he lacks self-preservation instinct.
So he will literally die trying to fix your ship :lol:

But still this is a good start, soon I'll teach him to fight fires more properly, and teach him to go heal up in the med bay or replenish O2 in the O2 room.
And most probably we will have Repair men for hire in the next update.
And pirate ships will no longer be empty :)

I was thinking when the structure of the game is done, and just pollishing remains we should have lots of additional gibs, debris, objects, just to make the world very rich. An example of this I thought was how in Terraria you would find tons of rocks and bits and bones and simply a rich enviroment in caves. An open world game like this would excel with lots of content and variation and endless new things to find. Like you can play Terraria for a year and still are finding new items or things.

So in response to your red oxygen room it made me think we should have rooms with crates, rooms with mechanisms, rooms with stuff for empty rooms to make the game more visually complex.

Can someone make new engines for the Falcon (Kestrel 2.0)? I would do it my self, but I am not that good at making new stuff.

We should have a TODO list for images that need to be redrawn so that they don't have parts from FTL, this list could be in the first post. I think we need this because we will be more organised.
