I just wanted to say I'm really enjoying this mod. The ships are all very thematic while seemingly taking little away from gameplay. I've played the Carrier, the Viking and the Mutalisk so far. I've won with the Carrier and the Viking, and I was surprised at how reasonable relying on MULEs for hull was when playing the Viking. I rarely had to buy drone parts at stores. The Mutalisk however has proven itself to be quite the challenge, and I'm enjoying that one the most so far. Starting with only a Zergling and an Infestor is rough at the start, specifically for repairing the ship (which you'll be doing a lot). The early stages are still quite doable though. I keep managing to get shields but then fizzling out somewhere around sector 5 (twice to ships that disabled the very critical engines at the start of battle :roll:). Anyway, I'll keep at it. Maybe I'll find a Prismatic Beam to go with that Preigniter at some point, heh.

Not your fault - these are actually problems in the vanilla FTL files.

Just won with the Mutalisk on my very next try. Got shields towards the end of sector 2, which was earlier than I had been able to in the past. Also, transitioned to boarding with two Zerglings around sector 3. The second stage of the boss battle was dicey, since I never got drone control and my weapon loadout heavily relied on a Hunter-Seeker Missile. Couldn't afford a lot of the usual amenities, because I had to dodge some early battles. Anyway, very enjoyable and I'm looking forward to trying some of the other ships.

crash report, whenever i try to open the battlecruiser it crashes immediately

Advanced Edition made older ships unplayable.

If something was made before April 2014 and hasn't been updated recently, then chances are it cannot be played without an update.

Speaking of which, could someone go contact the mod maker and get this updated? Or if they're unavailable, someone with modding skills go update this for AE :)

well the thing is every single other ship works, well everyone ive unlocked, but just the battlecruiser doesnt

Maybe there's something wrong with the room layout. AE prevents separated rooms, rooms that are excessively long, etc.
Either way those ships would not benefit from the features of AE without an update.
