[SHIP] Goa'uld Hatak

Hello there. I have NO clue if this has been done, but, I was talking with me friend and she told me she desperately wanted a Hatak from Stargate. She's a hardcore Stargate fan and I decided to take on this task. Well, it took until now but I've finally made a working version. Now, there are some things to note.


First, is there is NO shield image. This is largely because I've seen enough of the shows to believe that they shouldn't have one. The shields show up as they get hit. Note the shield protection is still set up for the base ship. (will fix this later most likely. MAYBE not)

Next to note is that I've placed three augments that I believe fit them well.
  • Energy-Shield (Prevents damage and Teleporting(unless event of course)
  • Nano-bots. Of course I feel they'd have the ability to heal like this.
  • And lastly, Slug Repair Gel. I feel they'd have a regeneration type ability for their ship.

Problems to note:
  • The Image doesn't exactly fix up to the floor plan. But this is because of the image its self. I'll try and fix it but honestly, it's not that big of a problem. All it does is obscure a part of one weapon and I think maybe most of another. Everything is sitll functional though.
  • There is power and positions for 5 drone sets designed to have 4 System Repair drones and 1 extra drone spot. But for reasons I've yet to figure out, they won't show up at the start. so you've got a nice bit of excess energy.
  • You start with level 2 shields. As I've come across my time in Infinate Space-FTL, Most of the starting encounters for me have been level two shielding.
  • you start with a Heavy Ion gun (2 power I believe) and a Burst Mk. 3(4 power at most I believe)
  • It's still fairly fun even with the few problems with it. There are many doors for fire control. >.> Many, many doors. <.<

Welp, that's basically it. Feed-back would be nice. It's important to note it is literally my FIRST working ship. ^^


OH! it replaces the Mantis Cruiser A.

UPDATED:

The features updated:


  • Removed Augments
  • Changed replacement ship- Now Replaces the Kestral. If you want it to replace a different ship message me and I'll create a second file. I've found that some people haven't unlocked the Mantis yet.
  • Fixed the Manning Engines bug
  • Fixed the shield Ecclipse
  • Reduced total drones to 3
  • Reduced starting Drone Parts to 20
  • Reduced health to 20
  • Renamed class to Goa'uld Ha'tak
  • Added starting Crystal Member to replace the Second version's starting Rock Member

Everything SHOULD be fixed now. I'll also upload new pictures as well.

(This requires either Weaponanza or Diversity I believe. Hence the one missing weapon x.x I have both of them and completely suggest using them! But yes, it works with those installed and such. So don't mind that.)

Shout-outs: I've started work on an Automated vessel here as well. I haven't named it yet or anything. But I'll eventually make things work out. If my second ship comes out better I'll start taking requests XD until then! Keep tuned for my newest creation! :3

Thank you all for your feed-back and support! It'S GREATLY APPRECIATED! Also may I note: I completely endorse FTL: Faster Then Light Starship Editor/Creator: Superluminal It takes a little getting used to after using FTLEdit but I find it to be MUCH easier.

And last but not least! I want to Thank BrenTenkage Once more xD Your Letsplay was awesome! And greatly insightful! If you ever plan to Letsplay my newest version let me know! xD

As I said, I've tried to fix the Overlay with the flooring and the picture. I even offset-ed things in the Blueprint. I'm most likely just an idiot rookie mistake. But yeah, here are the pictures xD sorry!

Also please PLEASE note the lack of a shield Pic. Again, Goa'uld have had no real visible shields unless they were struck. And this does not add any custom weapons at this time.

hmm for a first time looks like a good ship, might lets play it in the future (trust me I lets play a lot of these modded ships)

I had actually considered making a Ha'tak but decided against it due to the...odd...frame of the ship. So, neat.

If your friend is interested, I have a partially completed Daedalus (might be slightly unbalanced but is otherwise done), sorta halfway complete Aurora, and a preliminary Prometheus I can finish and upload. I'd need the motivation to get them done xD

Yeah, I found that there was just that one lacking element that my friend just LOVED the idea of XD She's more Hardcore Goa'uld but I KNOW there'll be people who want Tau'ri and stuff. So if you could complete them, that would be AMAZING~

xD I got so annoyed when I'd play some ships where there'd be ONE Airlock and I had to vent like half the ship to get the fire >.<

In future versions I most likely WON'T make so many of them. xD

Thanks to you guys I have a lot of confidence in my next attempt xD BUT! I've realized something important!

As a Modder, sometimes you may think your stuff isn't quite good enough or you're bugged by that ONE flaw that you just SEE ALL THE DAM' TIME >.< (image and floor plan not matching up quite right) But alas! It'll make someone happy. And that's what being a modder is all about. ^^ Making at least one person happy by doing what you can.

Alright, I tihnk I MAY have figured out the problem with the Drones not appearing and I'll try to Re-create the ship in a different fashion. I didn't realize that it wouldn't even ACCEPT the drones later on in the game. ~.~



EDIT: I'll have to Re-design the ship yet again x.x but that's ok! I'll be able to fix a major problem I Saw, the Engines can't be manned xD
